RICHARD STERBAN OF THE OAK RIDGE BOYS - GRAMMY AWARD-WINNING COUNTRY MUSIC HALL OF FAMERS CELEBRATE CHRISTMAS WITH TIMELESS HITS AND HOLIDAY FAVORITES

CHRISTMAS CELEBRATION TOUR

Every year, a man with a white beard goes city to city giving the gift of Christmas joy, and his name is… William Lee Golden (were you expecting someone else?). For 27 years now, Country Music Hall of Fame members The Oak Ridge Boys have been a part of their fans' holiday seasons with their annual Christmas tour. This year, the award-winning group will play to packed houses across America during the 2016 Christmas Celebration tour, which will take the group to two-dozen cities in 16 states, from the East to West Coast, November 1 through December 22 (see schedule below).

A mixture of traditional and contemporary songs—including religious, romantic and fun holiday tunes—makes up the set list, which includes songs from the Oaks’ six bestselling Christmas CDs. A highlight of the evening is the much-loved ‘rocking chair’ segment where each BOY rocks by the fireplace and shares personal thoughts about Christmas.

Known for their iconic and multi-platinum selling hit “Elvira,” along with other chart-toppers like “Bobbie Sue,” “Thank God For Kids,” and “Leaving Louisiana In The Broad Daylight,” The Oak Ridge Boys have achieved a decorated career, winning five GRAMMY® Awards, and multiple CMA, ACM and Dove Awards for their cross-over brand of pop, country and gospel music that spans multiple generations. Made up of members Duane Allen, Joe Bonsall, William Lee Golden and Richard Sterban, whose unmistakable bass on the lyric “oom poppa, mow mow,” has become one of music’s most recognized sing-alongs on an international scale, The Oak Ridge Boys are members of the Grand Ole Opry and achieved arguably country music’s highest honor in October 2015 when they were inducted into the Country Music Hall Of Fame.

About The Oak Ridge Boys:
The Oak Ridge Boys, who have sold over 41 million units worldwide, are synonymous with “America, apple pie, baseball and gospel and country music.” In addition to their awards and accolades in the country and pop music fields, they have garnered five GRAMMY® Awards and nine GMA DOVE Awards as well as the Mainstream Artist of the Year Award at the ICM Awards. The group—Richard Sterban, Duane Allen, William Lee Golden and Joe Bonsall—have earned prestigious membership in the Country Music Hall of Fame (2015 Inductees) and Grand Ole Opry, and are known worldwide as one of recording history’s most extraordinary musical successes. They have charted single after single and album after album, celebrating two double-platinum albums and more than 30 Top 10 hits, including No. 1 chart-toppers “Elvira,” “Bobbie Sue,” “Thank God For Kids,” “American Made,” among dozens more. A multi-genre cross-over act, they are members of the GMA Hall of Fame and they are recipients of the President’s Award from the Southern Gospel Music Guild. Chiles add their wonderful and distinctive flavor to fish and seafood and this is highlighted beautifully in Jamaican-Style Fish Cakes, Paella, Shrimp Creole, Bahia-Style Chowder. ATTENTION PEOPLE WITH MEDICARE: IT’S ELECTION SEASON IN MORE WAYS THAN ONE

Medicare Annual Election Period Has Begun; Learn How to Start Your Journey to Better Health with Your Medicare Health and Prescription Plan

This fall, there’s another election that is just as important to seniors across the country: the Medicare Annual Election Period (AEP).   This year’s Medicare AEP lasts from Oct. 15 to Dec. 7. Similar to voting for elected officials, it is important to research all available choices. The first step in selecting the right Medicare plan is reviewing your current health needs, outlining your health goals and considering what healthcare needs you may have in the immediate future. This will help you identify whether your current plan still meets your needs in 2017.

When looking for ways to maximize your health care dollars, remember the following money-saving tips:

  • Comparison Shop: Use online resources to research Medicare plans that provide the most savings based on your needs and budget. Websites, such as Medicare.gov and Humana-Medicare.com, are good places to start. You can also call 1-800-MEDICARE for 2017 Medicare plan information or call 1-877-486-2048 for TTY contact.
  • Research Prescription Drugs: Make sure the medications you take are covered by the plan you choose; opt for generics over brand-name drugs; and look into mail-order pharmacies, which often provide the same drugs at a lower price than the retail cost.

Mark El-Tawil will offer us more details about choosing the right plan this enrollment season. He will also share data from a brand new survey of Boomers, revealing their health concerns, activity levels, approaches for choosing Medicare plans and more.
