Joey will speak about the history of this famous (and mostly misunderstood cocktail). Attorney Gloria Allred - Lawyers.Com
Gloria Allred is the most famous female attorney practicing law in the nation today, a tireless and successful advocate whose high-profile legal battles on behalf of victims whose rights have been violated have led to many landmark precedent-setting court decisions. Gloria has been voted by her peers as one of the best lawyers in America, and described by Time magazine as "one of the nation's most effective advocates of family rights and feminist causes." Gloria is a founding partner of Allred, Maroko & Goldberg, one of the pre-eminent plaintiff civil law firms in the country, which has won national prominence through many precedent-setting cases. Gloria Allred says that the absence or ambiguity of a will can create a host of problems for your family and your children, like in the cases of Michael Jackson's ongoing estate battle with his father, Marlon Brando's allegedly forged signature on his will, and Britney Murphy's will leaving out her husband since it was executed before her marriage. Allred has worked for at least two alleged Tiger Woods mistresses, including Rachel Uchitel and porn star Joslyn James. She said today that Woods needs "lying rehab" and "betrayal rehab" in addition to sex addiction therapy.James, who claims she was twice impregnated by the golf superstar, demanded an apology from Woods.

Although we remain devoted to servicing the needs of our clients, we are also willing to help any serious travel consumer with questions regarding the relative merits of travel products. In our current environment, the travel consumer is bombarded by misinformation and outright lies on a daily basis. Bait-and-switch "from $499" ads are the rule – not the exception. A half-inch is defined as "extra legroom" and a moldy hot tub may be a "luxurious spa". Google virtually any travel-related topic, from hotel properties to destinations and you are smothered in a sea of tens of thousands, perhaps millions of ads disguised as information. No one seems willing to help. Everyone wants your credit card number. We hope that traveltruth.com is just the first step toward changing that perception.

ROSANNE CASH  "The List"
"When I was 18, I was on the road with my dad. One day, we were sitting in the tour bus, talking about songs, and he mentioned a song, and I said, "I don't know that one." He mentioned another one, and I said, "I don't know that one, either." Then he started to get alarmed, so he spent the rest of the day making a list on a legal pad, and at the top he put "100 Essential Country Songs." And he handed it to me and he said, "This is your education." The genesis of Rosanne Cash's remarkable new album, The List, dates back to that day in 1973-to a time before her eleven previous albums, her 1985 Grammy and numerous additional nominations, her twenty-one Top 40 country singles. She had just graduated high school and was starting to write songs of her own when her father, the incomparable Johnny Cash, discovered some
rosanne cash: the listgaps in her knowledge of American roots music.  Rosanne and Johnny Cash, 1977 "I think he was alarmed that I might miss something essential about who he was and who I was," says Cash. "He had a deeply intuitive understanding and overview of every critical juncture in Southern music-Appalachian songs, early folk songs, Delta blues, Southern gospel, right up to modern country music."  Three dozen years later, Cash has selected twelve songs from the syllabus presented to her by her father and recorded her first album of covers. Still, she remains a songwriter to her core, so she approached each composition-from Jimmie Rodgers "Miss the Mississippi and You" to Bob Dylan's "Girl from the North Country"-in search of its particular essence. The result is a glorious range of sounds and moods, as rich and complex as such Cash masterworks as Seven Year Ache, Interiors, and Rules of Travel. A handful of truly special guests join her for some of the recordings: Bruce Springsteen ("Sea of Heartbreak"), Elvis Costello ("Heartaches by the Number"), Wilco's Jeff Tweedy ("Long Black Veil"), and Rufus Wainwright (Merle Haggard's "Silver Wings").  The idea for The List came about while Cash was on tour promoting her 2006 studio album, the widely acclaimed, Grammy-nominated Black Cadillac-a reflective song cycle about the loss of her father; her mother, Vivian Liberto; and her stepmother, June Carter Cash. She had held on to the original copy of the List for all those years, but had never thought to do anything with it. ˜It just didn't interest me," she says. "I learned all the songs, but then I set on my own course as a songwriter, and set about separating myself from my parents, as you do when you're young. When I was writing the narratives for the Black Cadillac show, I had recently found the List again, so I wrote about it. And virtually every show, people started asking me. "˜Where's the List? What about that List?"  With this ambitious project behind her, Cash says that, while she has started writing songs of her own again, she hopes to do a second volume of songs from her father’s List at some point, and then make sure that the full 100 songs are archived properly. She also points out, though, that while she hadn’t fully explored this priceless gift from a father to a daughter, the songs on the List had always been important to her own work. Rather than a break from her own career, she looks at The List as something she needed to grow into over time.

TOM HINDE - Flowers Vineyard & Winery
After meticulously farming our estate vineyards on the True Sonoma Coast, the hand-crafting of our wines begins. All of our fruit is hand-harvested in the early morning into small bins to ensure proper delivery to the winery. Hand cluster selection begins on our custom-built shaker table. Pinot Noir clusters are dispersed and gently conveyed to the next sorting table where six sorters can assess the clusters that will be allowed to pass to
links shop all flowers wine ... fermentor. At Flowers, we de-stem Pinot Noir to ensure gentle handling and provide a 75% whole-berry environment in our small open-top fermentors. Pinot Noir is cold-soaked for five to seven days at a temperature of 45°F and the hand-punching-down begins. After the cold-soak period, the fermentor warms to 68°F - 85°F and wild yeast carries the fermentation to show terrior and complexity. Free-run wines are drained to barrel and the remaining skins are gently pressed in a small old-world basket press. All wines are aged between 14-16 months in small oak barrels from Burgundy Coopers. The wines are bottled without the use of sterile filtration and no fining occurs. Our philosophy is to retain all of the natural vineyard elements while hand-crafting our Pinot Noir. This ensures the true expression of our unique vineyard sites when the wines are enjoyed. The wines receive additional bottle age in our temperature controlled cellar and are released annually for direct purchase from Michelle at the winery.  We hand cultivate all of our vineyards on the True Sonoma Coast. When the decision to pick is made, the grapes are harvested in the cool morning and placed into small bins to ensure proper delivery to the crush pad. At the winery we conduct one final hand sorting. Then the whole clusters go directly to press to preserve fresh fruit and limit the amount of solids in the new juice.  Gently pressed chardonnay juice is settled then put directly into new and 1-2 year old French oak barrels for 100% barrel fermentation. Barrels undergo fermentation in temperature and humidity controlled aging rooms. When fermentation is complete, the new wines are put through a second fermentation converting Malic acid to Lactic acid. The True Sonoma Coast yields chardonnay that has distinct naturally high acidity and a balanced low pH structure. Twice monthly barrels are hand stirred with a thin wand. This hand crafting method of battonage adds complexity by whisking up natural yeast and fermentation sediment known as lees and allowing them to settle back out through the aging wines. Using this age-old technique the wines become softer, more complex and gain exquisite mouth feel. Final blending takes place in early summer. The wines receive additional bottle age in our temperature controlled cellar and are released annually for direct purchase from Michelle at the winery.

Chef Fabio Viviani
Born and raised in Florence, Italy, Fabio attended Italy's Institutuo Professionale per I Servizi Alberghieri, focusing on advanced Tuscan and regional cooking as well as a wide variety of specialty courses. He has traveled across Europe and incorporates Italian, French and Spanish influences in all his dishes. In his hometown of Florence, Italy, Fabio co-owned and managed several Florentine restaurants before bringing his Tuscan dishes Top Chef 's Fabio Viviani ... and Florentine flair to Southern California in 2005. Fabio's career took a star turn after being cast in the fifth season of Bravo's "Top Chef," where he earned the title of "Fan Favorite." This summer, Fabio and childhood friend and restaurant partner, Jacopo Falleni, will release the Café Firenze Cookbook, featuring 24 original recipes paired with specialty cocktails and luxurious wines, including the entire Santa Margherita range.  Fabio lives outside of Los Angeles in California with his wife Jessica, his dog Maximus, and his turtle, who doesn't have a name because he's never had to call her.  Despite historical data, Fabio questions whether there has ever really been a man on the moon.  Fabio's mom still resides in Italy, and when her neighbors told her Fabio could be found on Google, she assumed it was the name of an American television show.  Fabio accidentally set his grandmother on fire when he was 5 by foolishly playing with rubbing alcohol and fireworks — a bad combination. In 2005 while living in Italy, Fabio owned 6 restaurants, 3 dance clubs, a bed-and-breakfast and a farmhouse.  While Fabio lived in Italy, he never missed watching a single game of his soccer team, Fiorentina, play at the stadium in Florence, Italy.  Fabio likes to keep active and plays several sports, including: volleyball, karate, boxing, mixed martial arts, tennis and swimming. Fabio loves almost all food, but really hates two things: cilantro and peanut butter

CHEF PIERO BIONDI RETURNS
Chef Piero Biondi talks about Balsamic vinegar (Italian: aceto balsamico) is a condiment originating from Italy. The original traditional product, made from a reduction of cooked grape juice and
Chef Piero Biondi and Mike ... not a vinegar in the usual sense, has been made in Modena and Reggio Emilia[1] since the Middle Ages. The names "Aceto Balsamico Tradizionale di Modena" and "Aceto Balsamico Tradizionale di Reggio Emilia" are protected by both the Denominazione di Origine Protetta and the European Union's Protected Designation of Origin. Traditional balsamic vinegar is highly appreciated and valued by chefs and gourmet food lovers. Balsamic Vinegar of Modena (Aceto Balsamico di Modena), an inexpensive modern imitation of the traditional product, is today widely available and much better known. This is the kind commonly used for salad dressing together with oil. The word balsamic refers to resinous substances made from balsam.
Phillip Lemarque "Best Eatz"

Is there any new on the horizon to help the restaurant owners serve the guests better? New stove with controlled air-flow (more advance convection ovens). Oven that keep a more constant heat, and reduce
Phillip LeMarque. Getty ... the consumption of energy. Recyclable energy from units like dishwashers to be used for heating or cooling the dining area. Water heater with low energy consumption, ice cube makers where the extra energy is also recycled through the central unit system. Portable pads used by the wait staff to place orders tot he kitchen and bar over blue tooth. All those advance are certainly a great help, and will add to great saving if properly used in new environment. It is difficult to change existing structure or well established restaurant without getting involved in horrendous costs for remodeling. Where restaurant can really use new technology is in the domain of portable electronics, such a small cameras, to take guests pictures at special parties and being able to upload those picture on the restaurant photo gallery. Remember guests love to be part of their favorite restaurant.

Joey Vento - Geno's Steaks - Philadelphia
Geno's Steaks was started by Joe Vento back in 1966. He figured that if he was going to sell a steak, he had to be where they were already eating them....at the "X" shaped intersection of 9th & Passyunk in South Philadelphia. Joe learned the cheese steak business from his
Joey Ventofather who in the early 1940's opened "Jim's Steaks". In 1966, Joe started "Geno's" with $6.00 in his pocket, 2 boxes of steaks and some hot dogs.  His competitors all gave him six months to succeed and Joe laughed at them. As a twist of fate, there was already a Joe's Steak Place and Joe had to come up with a new name. He noticed a broken door in the back of his store on which a neighborhood boy by the name of "GINO" had painted his name. Joe liked the name but at that time, there was a food chain by that name and he did not want to confuse his business with that chain. So, he simply changed the "I" to "E" and decided to name his store GENO'S. In 1971, when their son was born, Joe and his wife Eileen decided to name him after their business. His son Geno works along with his father in a managerial capacity as well as handling many of the "behind the scene" tasks helping to make the business such a success. Since those days, Geno's has offered the best of cheese steaks. The ingredients are simple, exacting and never greasy thinly sliced rib-eye steak, melted cheese, oven-fresh baked bread and delicately grilled onions. Awaiting your piping hot sandwich on the counter outside are ketchup, mustard, relish and Joe's choice hot sauce. A Word of Warning! Be prepared and know how to order, because the service is fast and the line keeps moving. For example, on a cheese steak with onions specify which kind of cheese you'd like (Provolone, American or Cheese Whiz). By the time you have given your order, your money will be taken and your sandwich will be out the window nice and hot! At the next window you can pick up your soda, fries and coffee. Geno's is open 24 Hours a Day, 7 Days a week. There is no indoor dining, but there are tables under canopies on the sidewalk for those who wish to enjoy sandwiches on the premises rather than drive off with them. Stop by when you're in town and see why Geno's Steaks has become a Philadelphia tradition.

Anson Williams "Happy Days"  ("Potsie")
Born as Anson William Heimlick in Los Angeles, California  his father Haskell legally changed the original spelling of the family name from "Heimlich". He attended high school, where he was captain of the track team and acted in multiple school productions. He is best known for his role as gullible but well intentioned singer Warren "Potsie" Weber on the long-running hit television series Happy Days. On the ecco a voi anson williams ... first season of the show, the stories centered mainly on Richie (Ron Howard) and Potsie (Anson got second star billing during this season). Eventually, as Fonzie (Henry Winker) and Richie's mother, father and sister became more popular, Potsie was joined with Ralph (Donny Most, who was merely a side character on season one) and both Potsie and Ralph were inseparable (like they were one character with two personalities). Unlike Ron Howard and Donny Most, Anson was one of the few to remain through the entire run of the series, although his appearances became less frequent in later seasons.  In 1986, Williams directed the CBS School Break Special The Drug Knot. This dealt with the problem of teenage drug abuse and was highly acclaimed. Many critics praised it as the best anti-drug show ever made. He has gone on to direct many episodes of popular television shows, including episodes of Beverly Hills 90210, Melrose Place, seaQuest DSV, Star Trek: Deep Space Nine, Star Trek: Voyager, Xena: Warrior Princess, Hercules: The Legendary Journeys, Sabrina the Teenage Witch and Charmed.  In 2005, Anson Williams and the rest of the cast of Happy Days appeared in Happy Days: 30th Anniversary Reunion on ABC. Anson Williams is the second cousin of Dr. Henry Heimlich, known for creating the Heimlich Maneuver for treating choking victims.  He guest starred as himself in an episode of Boy Meets World in its third season as a nod to Happy Days and also guest starred on Sabrina, which he was also directing at the time, reprising the role of Potsie in a fantasy sequence.  The U.S. Patent and Trademark Office's National Trademark Expo kicked off on April 10, 2008 with Commissioner for Trademarks Lynne Beresford, exhibitor and Happy Days star Anson Williams, Mayor William Euille of Alexandria and USPTO Director Jon Dudas, along with a cast of trademarked characters

"Rip" Taylor - Comedian - King of Confetti

With recent appearances in JackAss, The Bonnie Hunt Show and next in Rob Reiner's new movie Alex and Emma, the legendary King of Confetti, Rip Taylor, has been introduced to a new generation of fans which is another reason he has a star on Hollywood Boulevard for movies, film and television.  Although most of his new admirers don't realize it, Rip Taylor
... Rip Taylor - Mr Breakfasthas dazzled audiences worldwide in a career that has spanned over forty years. A master of comedic timing and a consummate showman, Rip has headlined in Las Vegas, appeared on hundreds of television shows, played the lead in various plays and musicals, and frequently taken a dramatic turn in feature films. It is no exaggeration to say that Rip Taylor has succeeded in every facet of the entertainment industry. The phenomenon that is Rip Taylor began when Ed Sullivan could not remember the young comedian's name, he introduced Rip as "The Crying Comedian." Ed Sullivan accidentally stumbled upon Rip's niche, and after that appearance Rip found himself booked solid for months. This taught the young performer the importance of having a memorable hook. Bright costumes, outrageous props, wacky wigs and colorful confetti soon followed - and Rip Taylor became a pop culture sensation. Rip is one of television's most recognizable celebrities. A guest star with over 2,000 television appearances under his belt, Rip has brought his wild energy to The Gong Show, Password, The Merv Griffin Show, The Mike Douglas Show,, The Tonight Show, Late Night with David Letterman and to the coveted center square on Hollywood Squares. Perhaps Rip's greatest impact in television was when he was picked by Chuck Barris to host The $1.98 Beauty Show. The campy "beauty and talent contest" brought Rip icon status as he served as ringmaster, gloriously reveling in the glitter and kitsch of "The World's Tackiest TV Show." For decades, Rip has maintained his status as one of the top headliners in Las Vegas. He has been named "Entertainer of the Year" three times in a row, spent a year headlining The Flamingo Hotel's Rockettes Extravaganza, and in the 2002 brought Rip Taylor's Christmas Spectacular to the Rio. Additionally, Rip has played on Broadway and toured the country as the lead role in plays such as Sugar Babies, Anything Goes, Oliver, Peter Pan, and A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum. He is currently writing and producing a one-man-show entitled Let'er Rip. In addition to comedy and music, Rip is an accomplished "legitimate" actor. He played Demi Moore's surly boss in Indecent Proposal, and plays Kate Hudson's father in the soon-to-be-released Rob Reiner film, Alex and Emma In a career that has spanned five remarkable decades, Rip Taylor feels fortunate to have become a madcap mainstay in show business. He frequently donates his time and talents to numerous charitable causes including The Thalians, The Screen Actors Guild, The Actors Home, The Friars Charitable Trust and many, many more. In His Own Words "I always wanted to be a Vegas comic" Rip Says, "and that's what I am. Las Vegas is the entertainment capital of the world, if you can make it there, you can make it anywhere. Although I'm not a devout actor, it's nice to be able to do movies and tv, too. I want to be the second banana all the time. The ultimate for me would be to stay home and do a tv series for 13 weeks and then go do my nightclub act." From the beginning of his career, Las Vegas turned out to be TAYLOR-MADE for Rip, who was named "Entertainer of the Year" three years in a row in the '70's. His first appearance was in "The Eleanor Powell Show" at the Dunes. Rip was an instantaneous hit and was held over for four weeks. That led to other Vegas engagements, including guesting with Headlines such as Frank Sinatra, Sammy Davis Jr., Debbie Reynolds, Ann-Margret, Judy Garland, Mac Davis and Others. Over the Years, the "Prince of Pandemonium," as Rip came to be known, starred in many Vegas Revues, including "Funny Farm," (Aladdin), Donn Arden's Spectacular "Hello America" and "The Follies Bergere" (Tropicana). To this day, Rip is a favorite performer in the city. He recently spent a year Guest Starring in "The Rockettes Extravaganza" at the Flamingo Las Vegas and in December 2002 "Rip Taylor's Christmas Spectacular" to the Rio Suites Hotel and Casino. In the tv arena, the former host of his own syndicated tv show, "The $1.98 Beauty Show" (which was #5 in syndication when Chuck Barris took it off the air). Has graced the small screen on shows of every kind. He Guest-Starred on "Saturday Night Live," "The Kids in the Hall," "The Martin Short Show" and "Johnny Bago." He was Stanley, an Angel, on the cable series "Down to Earth" (26 episodes). He has been a constant guest on "The Jerry Lewis Telethon" and has entertained millions on various talk and variety shows, including "Circus of the Stars."

Steve Dale - Owner - Bentley's Popcorn

When Jackie and Katharine were eight and ten years old, they secretly set out with their own money to find and buy the perfect puppy. When their eyes met those of a nine-week-old Wire-haired Fox Terrier, the search was over, the sale was made, and the sisters christened the dog,
Bentley. Bentley was a playful and loveable addition to the household and he quickly became buddies with the other pets in residence. But when it came time for the family to cook up a batch of one of their traditional popcorn ... to Bentley's Popcornrecipes, Bentley was first in the kitchen and with one purpose in mind! For Bentley, there was no greater pleasure than indulging in the family's homemade popcorn. Did he prefer Toffee Caramel over Almond? Butter Pecan over Honey Roasted? He made no distinction; Bentley loved them all. After much urging from friends and other popcorn lovers, the family decided to share their popcorn tradition in a much larger way. It was only natural that their venture to market America's Finest Popcorn be launched with Bentley's name and image adorning the flagship brand.  So it is with fond memories of this family tradition that each hand-cooked batch of Bentley's Popcorn is created. We sincerely hope that Bentley's Popcorn finds a place in your own traditions with family and friends. We promise that you will taste the flavor and quality down to the very last kernel—just the way that Bentley did.
