That same year, TheBestLife.com was the fastest selling online program in America based on subscription sales. The seal was created by Greene so consumers could more easily identify products that measure up to the Best Life Diet taste and nutrition standards. He has made dozens of appearances on “The Oprah Winfrey Show” and become a contributor to O the Oprah Magazine. Dan Cathy - Pres and COO - Chic-fil-A 1430 Locations / 38 States
Cow appreciation day Tomorrow July 10 - Anyone who is not "too chicken" to wear a cow suit to a local Chick-fil-A®, will receive a free sandwich. Past Appreciation Days have produced plenty of fun, such as the 350 cow-spotted customers who came out in Hendersonville, N.C, to a cattle drive that had a group of ambitious college students visiting more than 30 restaurants in one day. As president of one of the nation's largest family owned businesses, Dan Cathy represents the next generation of leadership for the Atlanta-based quickservice
chicken restaurant chain founded by his father, S. Truett Cathy. Eager to incorporate his own skills and talents into the business, Dan has taken an unconventional, yet personally and professionally rewarding approach to Chick-fil-A leadership. Since 2001, Dan has served as the president and chief operating officer of Chick-fil-A,
Inc., and he has personally challenged himself with upholding Chick-fil-A’s efforts to provide genuine, heartfelt hospitality, and ensuring that customers have an exceptional dining experience when visiting a Chick-fil-A Restaurant. In his quest to provide customers with “2nd Mile Service" (exceeding even the highest expectations of a typical fast-food restaurant), Dan has defined a special role for himself – humbly saying, “I work in customer service.” Rather than leading from his corporate office in Atlanta, Dan chooses to spend the
majority of his time traveling to the chain’s growing family of Restaurants and interacting with Chick-fil-A’s committed team of Restaurant Operators and team members. His actions stem from a belief that working in the field provides a clearer understanding of the ever-evolving wants and needs of Chick-fil-A customers, and
leading from the front line also enables him to personally convey his servant spirit across the chain.

Richardson's Ice Cream - Middleton, MA
We’re an ice cream stand with our own dairy farm. Countless folks see a cow for the first time when visiting us. Operating and serving generations makes us a permanent New England destination. Customers who discovered us as children relive the nostalgia and continue the tradition today by bringing their children and grandchildren. The Richardson's came to America in 1636, after having been farmers in England. They first stopped in Charlestown and then helped settle land pasture in Woburn. By 1695, David Richardson moved from Woburn to Salem Village, which is now part of Middleton Massachusetts. David started Richardson's farm as it is known today: the Richardson's have milked cows in Middleton every day since his arrival (more than 300 years or 109,500 days straight). For the first few generations in Middleton, the Richardson's were most subsistence farmers: milking cows, raising chickens, vegetables and any other food needed to sustain the family through their normal daily activities. By 1900, the farm began growing with more and more cows. Hazen K Richardson was in charge. With his two sons, Ben and Hazen M, they started bottling, selling and distributing milk in 1917. The farm expanded to over 1,000 cows by 1934. In 1952, Ben and Hazen Richardson set out to make “One Perfect Ice Cream.” A decade later, our ice cream stand became a local favorite with over 50 flavors to choose from (a remarkable achievement at the time). Branching Out In 1978, we launched our wholesale business, delivering our ice cream to other dairy stands, grocery stores and restaurants throughout New England.
