Darcy Kramlich Senior Marketing Strategist - Marcom Associates
Darcy Kramlich is a Business and Marketing Strategist as well as a fine artist with over 20 years of successful experience in business development for a variety of start-up and rapidly evolving companies. She grew up in Detroit, Michigan and as a child she always knew she wanted to be an artist but she wasn’t sure as to what capacity it would be in. Once out of school she decided to use her creative abilities in the advertising sector and opened up a marketing business. She has since spent that last twenty years of her life in the field of marketing and creative design specializing in corporate branding. Although she has enjoyed a successful career in her field she managed to carve out time now and then to paint the large format paintings she is most known for. Along with her art Darcy has always enjoyed wine and found it to be a great accompaniment to music and painting…the more she painted the more she enjoyed wine until one day she decided to take her love of wine to another level and start really learning about it. As she started learning more and more about wine she realized that there were many other people like her that loved wine too and wanted to learn more about it…but in a fun and non-intimidating environment. That’s when she decided to combine her marketing and artistic talents with her love of wine in order to create "LovetoWine.com" an online resource where members can search, share and save wine labels into their virtual online cellar as well as read short but informative articles about wine. Keeping things light, entertaining, informative yet simple are the key components Darcy focuses on while using her creative skills to build a website in which members can take a break from all the noise sit back and enjoy…and maybe even have a nice glass of wine while they explore!
Larry Lipson - Costa Rica wine correspondent
He's been the Daily News restaurant critic for 50 years, but Larry Lipson has finally called it quits: "Sure, there have been editors who have leaned somewhat heavily on me - especially during one period when I was the only restaurant critic/writer in America featured in a newspaper seven days a week." Talk about knowing the restaurant scene in LA.
Jim Koch - Samuel Adams Brewer/Founder
Jim Koch founded The Boston Beer Company in 1984 because he believed that Americans deserved better beer. Today, we’re a team of about 350 people, and we all share a common passion for bringing great Samuel Adams® beers to beer lovers everywhere. We've worked hard for the many successes we've enjoyed over the years. The Boston Beer Company has been cited as one of the best companies to work for by Boston Magazine, one of the Best Entry-Level Jobs by The Princeton Review, and our beers have won more awards than any beer in history. Jim has been named an "Entrepreneur of the Year" by Inc. Magazine. Our brewers keep amazing us with innovative new brews, most recently Samuel Adams Utopias and Samuel Adams® Chocolate Bock. Once a year, usually in January, everyone gathers for a company-wide meeting. The sales staff fly in from all over the country. The brewery employees and office staff join in. There’s a full agenda of meetings, seminars, team building events, and parties. One of the highlights of the meeting is a company-wide beer trivia contest. This year one of the hotel bartenders who was watching as the various teams arrived in costume with music and much whooping and fanfare, said, "I've always known Samuel Adams made the best beer in America, but now I see this is the greatest company in America." When you look around you see that The Boston Beer Company is a team of enthusiastic people who are passionate about beer and who really love coming to work every day.
