CYNTHIA PECK – OWNER, ANGELO’S AND VINCI’S
OUR HISTORY
Forty-three years ago, our restaurant was built with tradition and has since continued with tradition. At our home in the old marketplace, we tribute our ancestors who came to America in the late 1800’s – their spirit and their recipes!
A little about this old building…
Originally built as an L-shaped marketplace in the days when Fullerton was an orchard (early 1900’s), the local farmers would bring their produce in from the fields by horse and wagon to sell to the townspeople. The original wood trusses of the old roof system may still be seen in the Venetian Room. Approximately twenty years later, renovation of the building changed it from its original L-shape to a square. This was accomplished by the large wood barrel trusses (an unusual truss!), which can be seen in the Sicilian Room and the Piazza Fantasia. During our renovation in 1992, the old wood, terra cotta tiles and brick was salvaged and re-used to keep alive the feeling and memories of those days long ago.
About our décor…
Be prepared when you walk into Angelo’s and Vinci’s Ristorante to be overwhelmed! With surprises in every corner, you won’t know where to look first! You will sit amidst the art of the great masters, in an Italian town square complete with the storefronts of old Italian butcher and cheese mongers, fruit and wine vendors, seamstresses showing their wares, and more. Fairy lights abound under cathedral ceilings as our ancestors smile down at you from the Family Love Altar. Explore and you will be surrounded by colorful Sicilian puppets, the carnival masks and canals of Venice, and the romance of Romeo & Juliet. Find our mystical Room of the Moon…and don’t forget King Kong, Dracula, Frankenstein, witches, ghosts and who-knows-what that await you in the Monster Wine Cellar!
And, as for Hollywood…
Founder, Steven Peck, renowned Hollywood dancer, choreographer and veteran actor of over 100 movies and television performances, has delightful photographs of over 40 years of famous stars, directors and dancers. Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, Gary Cooper, Robert Taylor, Broderick Crawford, Kirk Douglas, Walter Winchell, Sam Wanamaker, Vincent Minnelli, Sylvester Stallone, Ted Danson, David Hasselhof, Ray Sharkey, Shirley MacLaine, Cyd Charisse, Dolly Parton, Joan Collins, Raquel Welch, Olympia Dukakis, Shelly Winters and so many more. Films from Paramount, Twentieth Century Fox, Warner Bros., MGM, Desilu, United Artists, Universal Studios, to name a few.
Ask for a “Walking Tour” brochure to find out more about the meaning and dedications behind our décor!

LORENZO TREFETHEN - TREFETHEN FAMILY VINEYARDS - ANSA MOTORSPORTS AND LORENZO TREFETHEN READY FOR THEIR 2015 PIRELLI WORLD CHALLENGE DEBUT TOGETHER
Even though ANSA Motorsports already began their racing season earlier this month with a few club racing events, including the FARA Miami 200, the actual start of its 2015 professional racing season takes place this week-end at Circuit of the Americas, where the team will make its debut in the Pirelli World Challenge.
For this Nissan Grand Prix of Texas, the season opening of the 2015 Pirelli World Challenge, ANSA Motorsports has entered one 2015 Porsche 911 GT3 Cup in the new GT-Cup class. The No. 13 Trefethen Family Vineyards Porsche will be driven by Lorenzo Trefethen from Napa, California.
"We are excited by this new program," said Alain Nadal, ANSA Motorsports, team owner. "ANSA Motorsports' general manager, Emmanuel Lupe, and I have been working to put our 2015 Pirelli World Challenge program together since October 2014. In January 2015, we interviewed Lorenzo Trefethen, and the California racer signed his first professional racing contract with us to drive in the 2015 season. Following three great years where ANSA Motorsports won three championships in three seasons, the team feels ready for this new challenge. We believe in Lorenzo's racing talent, ability to race hard, his winning ambitions and determination to do well, and we look forward to our first race on Saturday."
Trefethen does not have extensive racing experience, but in the last four years of his racing career, he has already impressed many members of the racing community. Last year, Trefethen competed in the Pirelli GT3 Cup Trophy USA and, in 14 races, scored three wins, three 2nd place finishes, three 3rd place finishes and two top-five. He finished second in the championship. Trefethen tested for the first time with ANSA Motorsports two weeks ago in Florida. His experience with his new team was very positive and, after a long series of impressive laps, Trefethen felt confident with his new Porsche ride.
"This is the beginning of a long championship and a year of growth for me," said Lorenzo Trefethen. "I'm looking forward to the kick-off race in Austin and working with the team to build our pace. It will be exciting to see where we line up in this very talented driving pool. By the end of the weekend, we should know the things we need to work on to be a player in this championship. I'm also giddy with anticipation for the official unveiling of our art car on Thursday evening. It will be the first time we introduce the rest of the series to the pleasures of Trefethen wine, and I'm sure we'll make a few new friends. I've also seen a few preliminary photos of the car, and it is stunning. I don't think I will be the only one to fall in love."
For this 2015 program, ANSA Motorsports sought help from one of the most recognized poster artists in France, Erwin Dazelle. Since 2010, Dazelle has been the official poster artist for the Brickyard 400, the Toyota Grand Prix of Long Beach and the Rolex 24 At Daytona. Dazelle's art car will be unveiled to the Pirelli World Challenge community, in the presence of the artist, Thursday, March 5 at 5:30 p.m. at the team transporter. Trefethen will host media, team owners, drivers, series officials and sponsors. The event will feature Estate Wines from Trefethen Family Vineyards.
Trefethen and the Pirelli World Challenge competitors will be on track Thursday, March 5, during a promoter test day. Practice for the 2015 Nissan Grand Prix of Texas starts Friday, March 6, at 10:35 a.m. A second session is scheduled on Friday at 3 p.m. GT-Cup Qualifying for race 1 is set for Saturday, March 7, at 9:30 a.m. The first 45-minute race of the season is set for Saturday afternoon at 2:45 p.m. Following a morning session at 9:15 a.m., the second 45-minute race of the week-end is set for Sunday, March 9, at 1:25 p.m.
The Nissan Grand Prix of Texas at COTA will air on CBS Sports, Saturday, March 14, at 11 a.m. ET. Watch Live Streaming from The Pirelli World Challenge Nissan Grand Prix of Texas at the Circuit of the Americas at www.world-challengetv.com.

About Trefethen Family Vineyards: In 1968, Eugene and Catherine Trefethen purchased seven farms surrounding a magnificent, but run-down, 19th-century winery in southern Napa Valley and created Trefethen Family Vineyards. The couple's intention was to sell all their grapes, but their son, John, had other ideas. In 1973, aided by his new bride, Janet, John produced Trefethen Vineyards first commercial wine. True to the family's vision of creating an acclaimed wine estate, they have never purchased outside grapes and are leaders in sustainable wine-growing. Today, the Trefethen family's third generation, Loren and Hailey, assist their parents in continuing the family tradition of passion for the land, its people and the art of crafting exceptional Napa Valley wines.
About ANSA Motorsports: Created in 2005 by former race-car driver and savvy businessman, Alain Nadal, ANSA Motorsports currently competes in the 2015 Pirelli World Challenge GT-Cup class. Following multiple seasons racing Ferraris and Porsches in the former Rolex Series, ALMS and the IMSA Porsche GT3-Cup Challenge USA, ANSA Motorsports won the 2012 Porsche GT3-Cup Challenge USA Team Championship Gold Cup Class and the Driver Championship with driver Angel Benitez Jr. In 2013, ANSA Motorsports won the IMSA Prototype Lites Championship Class L2. Last year, ANSA Motorsports competed in multiple racing series, including the IMSA Porsche GT3-Cup Challenge USA, the Porsche GT3-Cup Canada series, and the IMSA Prototype Lites Powered by Mazda Championship. ANSA Motorsports won the 2014 Porsche GT3-Cup Challenge USA Team Championship (Gold Cup class) and its driver, Patrick Otto Madsen, won the Driver Championship (Gold Cup class).

FERRAGAMO WINERY
The Vineyard
Vince Ferragamo grows Sagiovese and Cabernet Sauvignon in his Estate Vineyard in Orange Park Acres, California, where the warm days and cool nights produce ideal growing conditions that mirror the rolling hills of Tuscany. The vines are hand-tended throughout the year, with a focus on phenolic ripening and longer hang times, giving rise to a rich and elegant wine with refined and polished tannins.
The Winemakers
Mick Dragoo and Jeff Lazenby have produced the wine from Vince Ferragamo's vineyard since 2010. Mick founded Belle Marie Winery in 2000, and Jeff is General Manager and Assistant Winemaker.
Mick Drago PhotoMick Dragoo's appreciation for winemaking began during the Vietnam War, when he served in the Army as a maxillofacial surgeon treating trauma patients arriving home from the war in Northern California. On his off-time, he would visit Napa Valley wineries to unwind, and was impressed to discover some parallels between the art and science of winemaking and surgical reconstruction. After retiring from a successful periodontal practice in Reno, Nevada, Dragoo returned to Napa Valley to begin his next career, as a professional winemaker. Twenty years later, Mick and Mary Dragoo relocated to Southern California and opened Belle Marie Winery, a micro-boutique winery in Escondido, California that produces thirty or more wines every year in a wide variety of styles, but with a particular specialty in full-bodied, blended red wines. With an inventory of up to 78 different grape varietals available each year, Dragoo travels up and down California to the best growing regions and vineyards in the state from which harvest his grapes. In his spare time, Dragoo continues to develop and teach state-of-the-art surgical practices to surgeons worldwide.
Jeff Lazenby PhotoJeff Lazenby's passion for winemaking began during his college years at the University of California, Santa Barbara in the mid-1980's. With convenient proximity to the Central Coast wine country, he made frequent trips to area wineries, exploring the many varietals that thrive in the area and learning about how geographical and climatic influences shape varietal selection in the vineyard and the resulting styles of wine. Wine remained a hobby for years as Lazenby built a successful career as a health care executive while continuing to learn about wine in his down time. In 2000, he met Mick Dragoo, who had just started Belle Marie, and the passion for winemaking began to blossom more quickly. Soon he was spending his weekends and holidays volunteering at the winery, studying Dragoo's style and philosophy of winemaking and learning about all aspects of running a small, boutique winery operation. By 2006, the Dragoo's convinced Lazenby to retire and join the family business full-time.

MIMI KOZMA (KOZ-MA) – MASTER HOME CHEF, INTERNATIONAL FOOD CONNOISSEUR AND STAR OF FOOD HERO MIMI KOZMA TV SERIES - COOKING FOR THE CAUSE: MEALS TO HELP HEAL
What if a meal or special dinner could make living with a disability a little easier? Can this inspire a secret recipe?

LAUREN VOLCHEFF, VP SALES & MARKETING FOR LAST MINUTE TRAVEL CLUB GIVES US 5 TIPS FOR STRESS-FREE VACATION PLANNING
"Shopping for and booking travel has definitely become more DIY because of smart phones and travel apps," says Lauren Volcheff, VP for Last Minute Travel Club. Volcheff says today's online shoppers have more ways than ever to find hidden travel bargains:
1. Book on an opaque online travel agency site. Many of the best hotel prices in the travel industry are secured by private agreements, with the stipulation that these discounts can't be advertised to the public. That's why travelers who make reservations without knowing which hotel they're booking often get better prices than those who shop with full information.
2. Choose a vacation home. If you're adventurous and don't mind staying in a private home, you can find bargains by renting or sharing homes.
3. Wait for last-minute sales. Hotels, airlines, and cruise lines often turn to wholesalers to liquidate unsold rooms, seats and cabins at the last minute. If you're patient, you can get excellent prices.
4. Find a cheap flight first. Often, the most expensive purchase of all travel products is the flight. "Shoulder" season or off-season rates for popular destinations will save hundreds (so you have more money to spend on the attractions that make vacations fun!)
5. Join a discount travel club. Discount travel clubs are like membership warehouses for travel. By keeping travel discounts on a members-only site, clubs like LMTC can get prices far below those that cruise lines and hotels advertise on their sites.
ABOUT LAUREN VOLCHEFF
Lauren Volcheff is a VP for LMT Club's parent company, Tourico Holidays, part of a 20-year-old, billion-dollar travel company headquartered near Orlando, Florida. Volcheff has been an influential leader in the travel industry for nearly a decade.

Parry Cellars, Napa Valley's smallest single vineyard winery, is proud to offer you our finest cabernet sauvignon wine. The wine comes from our family owned vineyard on the east side of the Silverado Trail, north of the town of St. Helena. This single vineyard, 100% cabernet sauvignon is grown on rocky soil studded with obsidian.
Depending upon Mother Nature, our small vineyard averages three tons of grapes each year, resulting in a limited release of approximately 200 cases. The vines, lovingly hand tended and stressed by the rocky soils, close spacing and an exceptional microclimate, produce a rich, elegant cabernet. Our wine is a labor of love that we are sure you will enjoy now and in the future.
VINEYARD
Our Vineyard and HomeOur small, family owned vineyard is located on the east side of the Silverado Trail, just north of the town of St. Helena in California's Napa Valley. The half-acre vineyard was planted by Dave Abreu in 1990 with over 1,200 cabernet sauvignon vines that are Spottswoode clones grafted on 5C rootstock. The vines are tightly spaced four feet in row by five feet between rows on sloping land with rocky, clay-loam soil studded with obsidian. The vines have been trained as bilateral cordons with spur pruning on a vertically shoot positioned trellis. The vines grow vigorously with the northeast-southwest row orientation reducing afternoon exposure of grape clusters that can result in sunburn.
In our continuing efforts to enhance grape quality, we have reduced irrigation and established a no-till cover crop of clovers and native grass between the vineyard rows to conserve moisture, improve soil structure, attract beneficial insects and suppress vigorous weeds. In 2004, we are proud to have had our vineyard enrolled under the Napa Green Certified Land Program by the U.S. National Marine Fisheries Service, CA Department of Fish and Game, Napa County Agricultural Commissioner and Regional Water Quality Control Board (you would expect no less from a retired U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service employee!). We completed a farm conservation plan for the vineyard which includes environmentally beneficial management practices that help protect and enhance fish and wildlife and their habitats.
Between vineyard practices and Mother Nature, our harvest averages three tons of grapes. Since 1997, our friend and vineyard manager, Paul Saviez, has done a terrific job with our grapes and has the patience of a saint dealing with Stephen, a worried vineyard owner!
WINEMAKER
Our talented winemaker hard at workWe are proud to have Andy Schweiger as our winemaker. He is also the winemaker for Schweiger Vineyards and Winery where our grapes are crushed and our wine is made. We are glad to have Andy and his family as part of the Parry Cellars family. Andy also attended our alma mater, UC Davis, where he received a degree in Viticulture and Enology. His previous experience includes work at a number of wineries, including Chateau St. Jean, ZD, and Cain. He makes our cabernet (with help but hopefully not interference from us!) in open-top fermenters that are punched down by hand in Schweiger's newly built tank room. From these fermenters, the juice flows by gravity into French oak barrels (both new and used) in the barrel room below. Thanks to Andy's talents and careful attention, we have produced a fabulous cabernet!
Be sure to check the details of our current release of Parry Cellars Cabernet Sauvignon.
