Greg Harper, AKA "The Answerman"
The switch to all-digital TV broadcasting will finally arrive in a few days and despite the continuous on-air reminders about the DTV transition, a new survey indicates almost four million households are still unprepared and millions still have questions!! The nation’s Digital TV transition is scheduled to occur on Friday June 12th at midnight locally.

Tech guru/expert Greg Harper (aka “The Answerman”) will also mention a cool website consumers can go to at www.LivingInHD.com, where they will find tip sheets and consumer friendly information—even How-To videos demonstrating how to install DTV converter boxes.

A Nielsen survey conducted in late April 2009 revealed that as many as 3.5 million homes are still not prepared for the transition to all-digital TV broadcasting. In addition, another survey from Consumer Reports’ National Research Center indicated that many consumers are still confused about what they need to do to prepare for the transition: (63%) had major misconceptions; over a quarter (29%) believed that all households will need digital televisions to watch TV, one quarter (25%) believed that every consumer must subscribe to cable, satellite or fiber TV to watch any television programming at all, and 9% believed consumers will have to throw away all analog television sets – none of which is true

His current favorite dishes to prepare embrace anything that contains seafood and spices. He loves preparing unique and tasty shellfish dishes, and enjoys using ingredients that will bring on some heat, such as Chili or Chipotle peppers. Although he spends much of his time at work, steadfastly pursuing the culinary profession and pleasing palates of all tastes, he does find time for his family, which consists of his wife and three children. He enjoys playing golf, spending time at the beach, experiencing quality family time, and preparing food using fresh ingredients right from the family garden. Born in Port Richmond, Pa., today he lives in Vineland, New Jersey.
