AWARD WINNING ACTRESS HEATHER TOM – TALKS THE BOLD AND THE BEAUTIFUL AND DIRECTING SHORT FILM CALLED SERENITY

Heather Tom is a Five-time Emmy Award winning actress who currently stars as “Katie Logan” on CBS’s The Bold and the Beautiful. As the most popular and iconic soap opera queen, she has catapulted to directing episodes on her own show. One of the characters she is directing is her real life son Zane, now 3 1/2 , who has reoccurred on the show since he was born.
Prior to joining The Bold and the Beautiful, Heather spent three years starring as “Kelly Cramer Buchanan” on ABC’s One Life to Live, and 13 years starring as the tempestuous “Victoria Newman” on CBS’s The Young and the Restless.

Heather and her husband James Achor starred in their own Reality-TV Mini-Series for the HGTV Network called Renovation Unscripted. Heather and James bring their unique backgrounds and incredible design taste along as they renovate and design spaces all over Los Angeles. Their work has been featured in InStyle and Elle Decor magazines. Today, the dynamic duo continues to creatively change the scene of décor and home makeovers for some high level clientele.

In addition to directing and hosting her own reality show, Heather recently joined the cast of major network shows including FOX’s Lucifer and A&E’s Unforgettable.

Along with her extensive television work, her Broadway credits include the Los Angeles production of Prymate,  a role for which she received a Robbie Theatre LA Award Nomination for Best Actress. Her New York theatre credits include: “Jenn” in Happy Hour; “Chrysothemis” in Electra with Marissa Tomei, Kathleen Chalfont, David Strathairn and Laila Robins, “Barbara Northrup”/”Marjorie Cameron” in Moonchild, and “Polyxen” in Hecuba.

Outside of the limelight, Heather is devoted to helping others and is extremely active with charities such as Project Angel Food, Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS, AIDS Project Los Angeles and Tuesday’s Child. In 2003, Heather created Daytime for Planned Parenthood. She has also enjoyed sharing her passion for acting with people across the country teaching young aspiring actors improvisation, scene study and on-camera work.
