Before coming to Half Moon Bay Coastside Chamber of Commerce and Visitors’ Bureau in 1996, Charise owned an advertising business, Promotions With Pizzazz, in San Francisco. She has been instrumental in increasing membership at the Chamber from 330 to 700 members and tripling its budget. Charise was a founder of the Coastside Family Medical Center, and founded a Hotel Business Improvement District (BID) in 2004.

Charise has also founded the first broad-based ecotourism program in the state of California and is spearheading state recognition of ecotourism as a tourism destination. And, currently she is facilitating a non-profit component to the Disaster Preparedness Plan for the San Mateo County Coast.

Charise earned Accredited Chamber Executive (ACE) status by the Western Association of Chamber of Commerce Executives (W.A.C.E.) in February 2007 and was the William E. Hammond Award Winner in 2008.

Kara Elizabeth DioGuardi (pronounced /ˈkærə diːɵˈɡwɑrdi/; born December 9, 1970) is an American singer-songwriter, record producer, music publisher, A&R executive, composer and TV personality. She writes music primarily in the light pop-rock, dance, and R&B genres. DioGuardi has worked with many popular artists and is credited on over 120 album releases.

DioGuardi served as a judge on American Idol for its eighth and ninth seasons. In 2008 she was appointed to the position of executive vice president of talent development at Warner Bros. Records, and has signed Jason Derülo and Iyaz.
