ABOUT BACCHUS KITCHEN:
1384 Washington Blvd.
Pasadena, CA 91104
How it all started...
Our extension to Bacchus’ Kitchen started in the spring of 2014. As I drove by and saw a for lease sign, I saw the potential for further serving a great neighborhood that we were already serving at The Eatery location. We are also a catering company and service many functions on the San Gabriel Valley. Since that part of the business kept growing, it was difficult functioning out of a 1400 square foot location that was taxing all elements of the business.  Construction and design started in the spring of 2014 and completed 8 months later into was is now Bacchus’ Kitchen. The kitchen has proved efficient for catering and banquets as well serving the dining room and patio. We wanted a relaxed, casual atmosphere for the neighborhood with one of the other elements involved at Bacchus is our music program that features a monthly concert of top tier jazz musicians. We have made friends with artists from all over the country who have graced the Bacchus Live stage and we are very grateful. We are very involved in local charities and gladly use our space for events supporting many different groups. We hope you join us soon and visit either Bacchus’ Kitchen or the Eatery on Allen.

WHAT’S NEW/UPCOMING EVENTS:

BACCHUS KITCHEN: APERITIVO HOUR AND NEW MENU ITEM.
What the heck is an aperitivo?  Is it something you see in the distance that looks enchanting?  Well, sort of.  Aperitivo is an Italian term for a drink/light meal that takes place at the end of the workday as a kind of warm up to dinner.  That sounds enchanting to us!  We hope it sounds good to you too. For the summer months, we will have Aperitivo Hour on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday nights from 6:00 to 8:00.  Our Aperitivo Hour menu will consist of a specially selected white, red and rose wine for your partaking.  In addition to the liquid refreshment, we will also offer small plates for your indulgence.  We will have a Moroccan inspired flatbread, smoked salmon spring rolls and Baja style fish tacos.  Each glass or plate will be $9 each. What’s better than a sharp poke in the eye? A yummy poke on your plate!  We will have a seasonal watermelon poke salad that is cool and unique.  Instead of the customary tuna poke, this dish is made of watermelon, basil, cilantro stems, cashews, a pinch of green curry and soy sauce. We’ve taken this hokey poke and turned it all around!

TAP & KITCHEN: NEW MENU ITEM.
We have added a Vietnamese tofu dish to our menu.  I know, I know...you are saying, “Tofu?  I’m not one of those tree huggers eating grass clippings and bland cubes.”  Well, you’re wrong on that one!  Our Vietnamese tofu dish will have the bold flavors of fresh ginger, fresh lemon grass and soy sauce.

GUMBO FEST: LE BON TEMPS EST DE RETOUR!
After a year off, we have decided to return to Gumbo Fest.  The festivities will be held at Bacchus’ Kitchen on July 16th 4 pm - 8 pm.  It will be an evening of fun and food with bowls of gumbo and flaming bananas foster.  Good eats!  Add to that the rockabilly sounds of the Swinging Eight Balls and we’ve got us a feté that can’t be beat.  Hooooo Weee! The cost for the food, boogying and good times is $45 a person and $15 for children under 12.  But you’d better shake a leg because we are putting a cap on the night of 100 people and we hope you are one of them.

3RD ANNUAL ROSÉ SOIRÉE - AUGUST 6TH  6:00PM
Come dressed in hues of pink to the 3rd annual Rosé Soirée!  This midsummer night’s dream will include over 30 different rosés, food from local area restaurants, and the beautiful scenery of the Blacker House in Pasadena, August 6th, 6:00pm.  This event benefits you and your friends with a splendid night in a garden setting sipping some delightful wines.  This event also benefits the Professional Child Development Associates (PCDA) and all the fine work they do for local children and their families.
