Malika is a Chicago-based pastry chef and restaurateur with a love for unique flavor combinations.  She is a graduate of the French Culinary Institute and Institute of Culinary Education in New York. She worked under three award-winning pastry chefs at the Ritz-Carlton in Chicago and then spent five years at The Chateau Marmont where she was named “Best Pastry Chef” in 2003. She was chosen as a featured “cheftestant” on Bravo’s Top Chef: Just Desserts and then went on to launch her own online pastry business, ByMDesserts.
