Pancake Day is a tradition that dates back several centuries to when the English prepared for fasting during Lent. Strict rules prohibited the eating of all dairy products during Lent, so pancakes were made to use up the supply of eggs, milk, butter and other dairy products…hence the name Pancake Tuesday, or Shrove Tuesday.
Nina Davuluri (born April 20, 1989) is Miss America 2014. She is the firstIndian American and second Asian American to be chosen as Miss America. Davuluri is also the first to perform a Bollywood dance on the Miss America stage. After she was crowned Miss America, there was a backlash ofxenophobic and racist comments in social media.

Pete Trabucco has appeared on over 700 radio and television shows (including Fox News Channel, MSNBC, Bloomberg Television, The CW network, CNN and the Travel Channel, to name just a few) around the country. Pete is currently averaging around a dozen appearances per month. Most recently, he was featured in New York's own "Newsday" and "The Wall Street Journal”.
Since January of 2012, he has been doing two weekly travel segments on the IRN/USA Radio Network and "Daybreak USA,” which is syndicated to over 150 radio stations (nationwide) and airs every Monday morning. Pete is in final talks of doing a weekend travel/vacation show for major radio station in his home city of NYC.
