Executive Chef Bryon Freeze - Mucho Ultima

In a fast-paced competition between four respected chefs, Bryon Freeze prevailed recently on the series premiere of Food Network’s “Chef Wanted with Anne Burrell” on June 28, earning the position as executive chef at Mucho Ultima in Manhattan Beach, CA., As hundreds of fans of the popular modern Mexican restaurant gathered to sample a few new menu items, sip tequilla and seasonal sangrias, and watch the show at Mucho Ultima, the suspense was intense. Who would win? As Bryon was named the winner, he surprised guests entering the dining room and the crowd went wild. “Michael Zislis, the owner and I were looking for an extremely talented chef to work with our culinary team as we heat things up at Mucho Ultima,” said Scott Linquist, Chef Partner at the restaurant. “Bryon shined in the competition and we were delighted that he won. He has already contributed immensely to our evolution and his talent is over the top!” Freeze previously served as chef de cuisine at the time-honored SideDoor/Five Crowns in Corona Del Mar., Calif. Under his leadership, SideDoor was named “Restaurant of the Year” in 2011 by Orange Coast Magazine.
